Air source heat pumps operate on the same principle as a refrigerator or freezer, which move heat from one location to another.

Air Source Heat Pumps, while powered by electricity, are highly efficient devices that typically produce three to four units of heat for every unit of electricity consumed. This efficiency greatly surpasses that of gas boilers, which deliver less than one unit of heat per unit of gas used.
